Gun ownership should not really be taken away entirely, what needs to happen is actual reasonable requirements put out for you to own one, like appropriate training in gun handling, mental state check, actual background checks, actual requirement in you to have safe way to keep guns and basically all this being rechecked every X years to make sure that you still following those rules.

If you are scared that in democratic country you will need guns to fight back against your own government, then hell, be happy with people dying everyday just that you could sleep at night knowing that you have fire power to fight entire government, just in case...

  9. That's how civil war starts... You get bunch of armed people who thinks to know better than elected government and then they try to overtake it by force, you know, just like it already happen, just on larger scale than that. Should be fun times.

  11. You could easily define it by using one or multiple criteria like amount of bullets you could shoot in a minute, size of bullets, amount of bullets in single magazine. There will always be that grey area of guns which could be handgun or assault rifle or maybe both at same time. its not really an issue with defining what it is, its an issue with lack of gun control and who can buy those and what type in general.
