Will put my 2 cents here. While reparability should be primary thing across the board, there is still some fundamental issues here. Electrical cars are not gas cars, you can literally kill yourself or burn your entire house if you shorten something you should not. Its dealing with high voltages which needs to be handled with experience and not by random Joe Shmo in his garage. Second thing is that Tesla is already under attack by everyone, how many news have you seen reporting about Tesla burning? Quite few. Does that mean that Tesla is more dangerous than gas car? No. Its like 10 times less likely that electrical car will catch fire than gas one, yet if only one electrical does it then its breaking news. Now imagine if you got situation where some one killed himself and burned his house while trying to fix something he should no have tried to? So making those schematics public at this point in time isint best solution even tho i would 100% agree that you should have those. Its a slippery slope.
