So because someone used "they" for singular usage 100 years ago, we should do the same now?... Sound logic...
2
@loschavez7694 Not crying, just saying that your joke was not funny.
2
So then why is your god not doing anything about it?
2
@NateNewton-k9z At the moment its read only and its only to control basic things, like mouse cursor, when you enable it. There is exponentially higher chance for any modern car being hacked and causing damage than someone hacking into this implant and moving mouse cursor around.
2
Its in the future plans, this is only the v1 of it, there is already second patient with better v2
2
It's not someone, it's you who would be controlling them. And what you are talking about is something what would be illegal, aka not good by definition.
2
He literally volunteered for experimental surgery to test out new technology which can give back at least some autonomy to paralyzed people and you straight away went into some weird conspiracy?... Damn... Let me guess: Its bad because its related to Musk?
1
Did your witch sticks said that?
1
Doesn't glasses count as mark of the beast?...
1
@Sh1znitz Why not? Glasses are closer to forehead than his implant, so like, does bible say that its specifically about brain implants?
1
@Sh1znitz This tech is for those who can't move their limbs... Its decades, if not centuries away from this being mandatory to buy/sell something if this would ever be a thing used for that. I can buy things with cash, I can buy things by exchanging thing I want with another thing even tho I can buy things with Paypal... You trying to see something what doesn't exist is just weird...
1
Then get your Nobels prize for proving that it actually works... EVERY single time it gets properly tested, it fails, end of story.
1
Do controlled scientific experiment and return with results. Because at this point every single time actual scientific experiment done on this proved that dowsing doesn't work.

@junevandermark952 If you want new pronoun to have as a third option besides base he/him and she/her, fine, make a third one, but don't steal the one which already has different meaning for your own purposes and expect that everyone else need to adapt to your wishes... Make your own, make it standard, that's it... And make SINGLE one, not infinite amount like some are trying to do now which makes entire pronoun thing not only useless, but completely bonkers when anyone can become anyone every 5 nanoseconds and you can't ever miss use someones pronouns or you will be cancelled... Those pronouns need to be based on something and those pronouns need to be limited in amount and just make your own...
1
@junevandermark952 Largely accepted today? By who?... Because it's quite often the opposite where people are confused why single individual identifies with "they"... And yes, language evolves, but that doesn't mean that you have to hijack existing word and change its meaning to fit your own preference here... Just make your own and be happy with it... Hardly anyone will complain... I would not... Now you want to use word which is either used to identify two or more people and singular who doesn't have specified gender... How the hell you don't see confusion/issue here? Example: #1 I need help, could you ask them to come help me? Then one person comes, and i'm like... I asked for multiple people, I need more than one... #2 I need help, could you ask them to come help me? Then multiple people come, and i'm like... I asked for single one, I don't need rest of you... Do you see issue here?
1
I have glasses, does that mean I have mark of the beast?
1
@loschavez7694 Because your "joke" is just weird. On top of bunch of people actually believing that he got this mark of the beast due to this implant. Go figure.
1
Why tho? Its only in read mode, so at worse someone takes over control of what you are trying to control, so its as dangerous as any bluetooth controller out there.
1
About what?
1
Neuralink only reads some basic signals in the brains and tries to interpret their meaning, there is no way to do it backwards, not at this moment atleast
1
Bluetooth, its like the beaty of this entire system, it can be undetectable as it doesn't have any wires sticking from your head and scarring would be minimal to none
1
@Pindosina It's more of a read only at the moment, so no newds and it should be using quite heavily encrypted data with who knows what type of tech being used to actually communicate. As this deals with implants in human brains, security should be top notch without any real ability to hack into it, but who knows, at the moment we only have 2 people with these implants and I don't think anyone tried to hack into those, yet.
1
This device only reads electric signals in small part of the brain relating to body movement, it can't read actual thoughts or memories
1
Except people uses sticks too... Every time this was tested with properly set scientific experiment it failed miserably.
1
Nothing, basically completely nothing. Its a read only device for specific basic tasks. Worse case, someone hacks into it somehow and records random signals from your brain which could be interpreted into some mouse movements.
1
Its read only device of basic brain electrical signals... How do you imagine this could be used against you exactly?
1
Its read only device.
