<I just lived in Montreal for 2 months. The metro is fantastic but oh. My. God. Every bit of pedestrian infrastructure was shit. For crying out load they don’t even have crossing light buttons for pedestrians. Montreal dodged a bullet when 16 of its on-island suburbs voted for a demerger as soon as the PQ were voted out of office in favor of the Liberals. Bear in mind that 15 of the 16 suburbs that voted for a demerger were Anglo-majority locales.
