With that said, that didn't stop it from overthrowing Selassie and the democratically elected government in favor of Mengistu and Barre of Ethiopia and Somalia respectively.

LOL. Africa would have been about as well as it was when Nkrumah was around. And even his own allies saw through his BS withdrawing support. God forbid if he got to run Africa the way he ran Ghana.
