@Theactualclips <He saw many socialist state collapse or end up badly. But failed to account for the fact that, the USA, the “officially” wealthiest and “officially” most powerful country in the world was always after them> The US wasn't after Tanzania. Or Madagascar. Or Mongolia. Or much of Eastern Europe. Or Burma. Or even Sweden when it had its own socialist experiment until the 70's. The US is not a valid excuse for tyranny and mismanagement. <The reality is, we’ve never had a socialist state that was allowed to thrive. Or even exist.> Yes you did. It's not the West's fault that many socialist states couldn't survive without foreign aid to feed themselves after the governments killed off the producers and mismanaged the economy into ruin. <I just think it’s common logic here.> Among tankies and west-haters, that is.

@Ehigator. Socialism is not a producer but a consumer. It figures when many countries that adopted socialism often go from being net food-exporters of to net food-importers as a result of government nationalizing and decimating domestic industry having to rely on imports and/or foreign aid just to feed themselves.

@fakename8856 Socialism isn't sustainable because it's dependent on infinite growth like capitalism is often accused of along with infinite resources and cash flow that even the wealthiest of capitalist countries don't have.
