And no mention of Venezuelan mismanagement that allowed the oil infrastructure to crumble necessitating the exporting of oil to other countries for refining as Chavez and Maduro didn't bother reinvesting in the industry.

But it wasn't the sanctions' fault that Venezuela mismanaged the oil industry to ruin. Chavez went of his own way to fire all the skilled personnel and replaced them with political supporters who weren't up to the task.

Venezuela did itself no favors with firing its experienced personnel and replacing them with political bootlicks who weren't up to the task along with Chavez decimating whatever private sector the country had with price control and free money.

And run by either populists or socialists.
