  15.  @DCFunBud  Price controls as in merchants were no longer able to turn in a profit to offset operating costs which negatively affected their ability to re-stock shelves and stay in business. <What do you mean they "did a much better job?"> Chavez and Maduro's policies did far more damage. That's what I mean. The sanctions are of little consequence as Venezuela collapsed well before any sanction was imposed.
