10:10 Take from the successful and productive and give to the failing and unproductive. We have that here in Canada in the form of "equalization" payments stealing from Alberta and Saskatchewan to prop up Quebec and the Maritimes.
7
@Baap.of.Rationalists They did it to Jamaica and Guyana.
6
@albertsmith99 <How about be a good human being?> That is just not going to cut it. <That's why the world is in this state of chaos> This is the secular humanist, atheist, God and religion-free world humanity asked for. Too liberal for its own good.
6
@discoloured3492 <when 90% of European countries are literally 4th world countries lmao> Namely Eastern Europe that had its own experience with communism.
4
Communism/socialism in a nutshell.
4
<Maybe it would have been in the 80's or 90's where you'd get more money if you worked more hours, or you were rewarded with bonuses for doing more work.> It's not worth it today, because of how much money is taken from your paycheque by the government once you start working overtime.
2
OUCH! And isn't Laos another communist holdout?
2
Socialism/communism has a way of making a capitalist out of someone.
2
@unluckyforsenbajs7503 China is barely capitalist.
2
Jay-Z, Bill Gates and others would like a word with you on that.
2
Chairman Xi JinPooh With most of them being either tax havens or oil-rich uber-monarchies.
2
It's only recently that China and India have seen prosperity after decades of socialism/communism keeping them in poverty.
1
But no one forced them to work hard for said owner much less apply for a job there.
1
@schneejacques3502 Just like India, Norway, most Arab-majority countries, etc.
1
The only rich people in China are CCP affiliates.
1
And it is also clear that Roy is a pro-CCP bot.
1
Don't you just love how communism/socialism always end up being exactly what they fought against?
1
It's only recently that the Chinese got to enjoy anything resembling economic freedom as the government toned down the command economy to get China out of the gutter in the 1980's.
1
China copied the ways of Singapore.
1
They just want the benefits of equality, but the costs reserved for men.
1
Most of the people in the video came from money. This is more laziness and wanting the easy way out in life.
1
And you have only Deng and Clinton to thank for that. The last time China was communist, it was the world's biggest (begging) rice bowl.
1
China already has actual communism. And these are the results. The government and the well-connected prospering and everyone else suffering.
1
@Jake Exactly.
1
@Adonna2424 Especially if you have no long-term plans or goals.
1
Actually no it isn't. There's more to being better off than just merely working hard or even working a well-paying job. You need a goal/plan and the discipline and diligence to stick to it which includes being able to budget, save and invest.
1
<They can work to death and still not make it.> Which is a consequence of having no plan or budget. <The system isn’t built for the majority to thrive,> Neither is socialism which suppresses people's ability to improve their situations independent of the government.
1
@baldkiwi444 China is barely capitalist.
1
BS! China is still reeling the poverty due to Mao's Cultural Revolution and Great Leap Forward policies that starved tens of millions to death and bankrupted it.
1
<we are left with a world where nobody wants to work.> Not just by that, but also often left-wing governments discouraging work and success with high taxes in favor of social welfare which perversely encourages laziness and failure.
1
LM-O.
1
Better that than the CCP.
1
But some are better than others. And inequality is natural as not everyone can achieve and/or maintain the same level of prosperity.
1
@dnlass460 LMAO
1
Don't you just secular humanism?
1
China is communist. And communism is an oxymoron as it often end up being what it accuses capitalism of and worse.
1
Thanks to godless socialism which ironically puts the government as god.
1
@Amy-mg1mz But salaries are really low.
1
It figures as economic freedom and personal freedom go hand in hand leading to people questioning the government and their way of doing things.
1
Not really.
1
Communism is a contradiction.
1
Exactly.
1
Like Romania under Ceausescu.
1
As governments become more out of touch and unaccountable.
1
Communism = slavery to the state.
1
LOL
1
No. The love of money is the root of all evil.
1
Meh. Those revolutionaries were hypocrites who lived the good life while letting their own countrymen starve.
1
@Abc00193 Hardly, tankie! :)
1
Caused by ineffective, destructive and malicious policies of previous CCP regimes, Mao in particular.
1
Due to it by and large still being a command economy with opportunities reserved for those with political connections.
1
Because they're banished to the rural areas where they cannot make the government look bad.
1
Just so he and the ruling communist party can save face.
1
<China is seriously working towards reducing income inequality but COVID-19 is slowing down the progress.> By "quarantining" the poor.
1
And yet some people think that secular humanism will solve humanity's problems. LOL
1
Communists are the biggest practitioners and beneficiaries of capitalism.
1
Exactly. Just ask the Winnie The Pooh. His father was a card-carrying CCP member who got demoted for disobedience.
1
Also saving and investing. Working hard is a myth, only because most people who do that usually have no plan or long-term goals just living for the moment (which is understandable since no one is promised tomorrow).
1
LOL. Since when did communism share the wealth equally? In communism, the government, family and friends get the whole pie while the people get the crumbs.
1
Anyone can be rich, but not everyone can be wealthy as wealth is generational and it takes smarts to maintain and further grow that wealth.
1
Maybe so, but hardly any old people in the US having to work until they drop dead.
1
@lettuce1305 <yes I'm pretty sure the govt officials take the homeless away but that can actually be a good thing.> Only to governments trying to present themselves in a good light to the rest of the world.
1
While China's is 76 years old.
1
LOL. No. Mainland students in the US are 4 people tops.
1
<If they gave every citizen a guaranteed monthly income and actually had universal health care or even any social programs which they don't, it might work.> No it wouldn't as that would require an infinite amount of resources that even the richest of countries don't have. And how is paying people not to work or produce sustainable? <The irony of communism is they ignore there first rule, distribution of wealth.> <But in actually the wealth goes only to the government and its military build up and propaganda> Standard socialist/communist fare.
1
@peterfireflylund And there are some North Koreans who can attest to that statement.
1
Enabled by the US. You can thank Nixon and Clinton for that.
1
<it's honestly understandable why people choose the latter because you are pretty much working yourself to death for a system for someone else's lambo.> Namely a relative or friend of a government official.
1
Depends on which CCP official they can successfully bribe.
1
Poor people are not in any financial position to own anything.
1
Yes there is as that's basically most of the country's political class.
1
There's no such thing thing as equality. Even Cuba has rich and poor. Namely the government and well-connected and everyone else.
1
Or Gary, Indiana.
1
Yes blame the women. They took up the profession by choice. And they should be thankful that capitalism gave them the opportunity to do it.
1
@crystalsplace7163 No. Fake-it-'til-you-make-it is a relatively new thing as it's been only recently that the average person have any real access to wealth.
1
LOL. They know nothing except how to worship their CCP overlords.
1
LOL. It is a communist country. The government and the well-connected = rich. Everyone else = poor.
1
And in the case of China, it goes to show that communism is a hypocrite and have consistently become the very oligarchy and oppressors it fought against.
1
It is.
1
The 1-child policy only applied to city folks.
1
<but this video is really bias.> Only to West-haters and CCP sympathizers.
1
Communism has a way of making a capitalist out of people.
1
And bankrupt itself like it did under Mao?
1
Maybe not, but capitalism doesn't need socialism nearly as much as socialism needs capitalism.
1
Because they are estranged from God.
1
The same "real" communism that made China a basket case for most of Mao's rule?
1
Except the US's GDP/capita is in the top 20 at some 63K. China's GDP/capita is just barely $10K.
1
LOL. China got to where they are by Deng's free-market reforms and Clinton shipping off America's manufacturing jobs.
1
In China, the rich being the CCP.
1
LOL
1
But at least the American Dream is achievable for the average person unlike the Chinese one only achievable by being a political stooge.
