And every single person who voted for them.

America has way more affordable options. Australia doesn't as most of the population is concentrated in the Southeast.
1
Also, since when did socialism/communism support mass immigration?
1
@kzbb9977 <like in many parts of the EU where property is not some kind of financial investment, ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO WANT TO MAKE MONEY ON INNOVATION, new tech and their sweat and efforts, not land and housing like some kinds of lords and ladies of the middle ages..> Yet hardly any innovation come from those countries, just living off of countries that do treat housing like an investment.
1
No. This is a Western phenomenon. <The basic necessities should NEVER be allowed to be commoditized to the highest bidders.> Basic necessities are not a right.
1
Canada is finding out like Sweden that you cannot have a welfare state and open borders at the same time. It's either one or the other. Say what you will about communist regimes, but at least they had enough sense to keep their borders closed.
1
@JosedeJezeus Case in point: Ukraine under Stalin's rule.
1
LOL. <This is a problem which can be easily rectified by the government; by freezing food and utilities prices. Actually, lowering prices too, would be a great help to all british families> Leading to shortages and frequent blackouts.
1
Except communism has bread lines and famine as matters of government policy.
1
CFK.
1
Exactly.
1
<Why are Western countries struggling to get developers to create enough housing? Because capitalism is flawed.> No. It's because of government meddling in the housing market. And developers are not building anything at a loss.
1
Not in Japan or even Venezuela.
1
Exactly.
1
Thanks to left-wing governments in charge.
1
But Canada much rather get bred out of existence than appear racist and xenophobic.
1
Time to denounce feminism and Marxism.
1
So?
1
But Singapore has high living costs.
1
And bear the consequences for better or worse.
1
You mean global socialists as socialism is the enemy of the middle class.
1
Not really.
1
In comparison to socialism which benefits no one except the politically well-connected, capitalism does benefit everyone.
1
Most of Australia's land is a desert and unfit for inhabitation.
1
This is what happens when you cede family care to the government.
1
Not to North Koreans.
1
@No-xs1no Until you reach old age.
1
The vast majority of that small population living in the cities.
1
@BilalRashid-qt2uh I say by one of his own comrades.
1
Actually yes they did the day they voted for Pierre Elliot Trudeau.
1
@adoof4814 But you would have Cuba's problem. Housing no longer suitable for inhabitation due to mismanagement and lack of investment.
1
Not really. Military rule did.
1
@marialee-smith6772 Exactly. Also, it has become acceptable to live beyond your means.
1
@Christina-sf4py There need to be term limits on social assistance especially for able-bodied people.
1
No. Those countries just simply do not let foreigners buy any property.
1
LOL. <The problem is the unequal distribution of wealth.> You prefer equal distribution of poverty? <it can no longer afford the wealthiest individuals.> Actually yes it can. The real problem is the overtaxing and regulating that stifled productivity.
1
America is not responsible for what became of Guyana, Brazil or Argentina.
1
But an uninhabitable desert island.
1
It makes sense. Most of the land is uninhabitable due to being a desert.
1
While unbridled socialism require infinite resources and cash flow to sustain itself.
1
@MerryXmasMfkrs Yet socialism can't do that adequately let alone sustainably.
1
Because the government through policy and regulation enabled and facilitated it all. What colleges and corporations do are just end results.
1
But the size of government has grown.
1
Immigration has been politicized since the advent of Pierre Trudeau.
1
Time to do an about-face on feminism.
1
High land values and building costs.
1
They created high building costs and bureaucracy?
1
Agreed.
1
@email5023 But Harper didn't have hundreds of thousands of immigrants, refugees and asylum-seekers entering the country at once like Trudeau has.
1
<Punishing building costs for permits and zoning only help those who already own property. > Who happen to make up 66% of the population.
