@svr5423 Abolish alimony and no-fault divorce.
12
Wealth inequality is not a problem as there never was a time when people were equal in much of anything including earning potential.
6
@svr5423 At the expense of their grand-children as they voted for more debt to support the easy life.
5
Resulting in higher operating and retail costs, unemployment, etc.
4
AH YES! The days when women were barely allowed to work outside the home and being single past 30 especially as a male = threat, weirdo.
3
@baneofbanes Enabled by government meddling that taxed and regulated ordinary people out of the housing market leaving corporations, investors, etc. the only entities that can afford to play the game.
3
<prefer spending their time and money in other ways > Namely on themselves. No money for kids, but plenty of money for their convenient lifestyles.
3
@svr5423 Abolish alimony and no-fault divorce.
2
The real problem is that society has gotten too liberal for its own good.
2
Exactly.
2
If you can afford to have a car collection, you can definitely afford to have kids. The real problem is that people have gotten hedonistic and narcissistic.
2
Close all the retirement homes as well.
2
Exactly.
2
Exactly. If anything this is more about personal greed and society having gotten too liberal for its own good.
2
Reproduce or get replaced.
2
@svr5423 It's their husbands, boyfriends and baby-daddies who do.
1
@sabyasachiporel4675 No they won't. As if those people even bothered to consider their futures while living it up.
1
@MelfiortheOne Economic barriers never stopped 3rd-worlders from having kids. This is just 1st-world problems.
1
Yet somehow they can afford their convenient lifestyles. Consumer and household debt be damned!
1
@dr.damian Well, China cannot expect to be a global power with a shrinking population which was why it scrapped the one-child policy in 2017.
1
@yugonostalgia8961 If you're willing to do an about-face on women's rights.
1
<As people become more affluent, > They become more narcissistic and complacent.
1
@saagisharon8595 With plenty of help from government restrictions.
1
Wages are not the problem. The problem is people prefer convenience and the easy life at the expense of family and future viability of the nation.
1
How about no? This is where society f---ed up. Ceding family care to the government and private institutions out of hedonism.
1
The same racists who could barely be bothered to have kids themselves.
1
The American politicians are just reflection of the Americans who elected them. Corrupt, ignorant and dumb.
1
That's a non-issue as children don't work or pay taxes. But their parents do.
1
Pretty much.
1
@jaykay5142 Wealthier societies don't have poverty rates above 25%.
1
With men being targeted once again just like the old bachelor tax.
1
@ClassicCase LOL. True!
1
America already did that during colonial times. Only property-owning, married White men were allowed to vote.
1
That is just not sustainable. And the last thing the US needs to be is like the formerly and actively socialist countries most immigrants, refugees and asylum-seekers come from.
1
@iambicpentakill971 But those people exist because of the able.
1
Pretty much.
1
LOL.
1
@loneIyboy15 Canada, the US, Germany, the UK, France, Sweden.
1
What about banning abortion and divorce?
1
Western society set itself up for failure due to that.
1
@svr5423 Or just general convenience.
1
@radec5166 Exactly.
1
@Pesso86 Better than economic systems which produce infinite stagnation and eventual ruin. Socialism failed for a reason and it has very little to do with outside meddling.
1
Projecting much?
1
Enjoy the gynocentric society you voted for. Let it rot!
1
@mikechasmar4154 Plus women are strong, independent and don't need no man. They can maintain society themselves.
1
And watch society collapse.
1
Not really. The Boomer generation more or less had that and yet they chose not to have kids and voted for the good life at the expense of the country's future.
1
Also a deviant and threat.
1
3rd-worlders have no problem having kids despite the lack of finances.
1
@emirozer9280 Only for those rich people to be replaced by other rich people.
1
Like Cambodia under Pol Pot or Tanzania under Nyerere?
1
Western society doomed itself.
1
What patriarchy? Western society is currently a de-facto matriarchy. And matriarchy only leads to regression.
1
@svr5423 It's not an affordability issue. It's a personal one. A lot of the people who say they can't afford kids probably live beyond their means which includes a lifestyle in the trendiest/gentrified/expensive part of the city their relatively sub-par salaries cannot support.
1
No. Mass immigration is a product of feminism and encouraging women to forego family in favor of career.
1
< If the average person is squeezed to the point where they are in debt all their life,> Partly due to trying to live a lifestyle their salaries cannot support.
1
That will just fall apart due to negligence and mismanagement within a couple of generations.
1
Which only jacks up operating and retail costs while pricing low-skilled workers out of the job market.
