Obama got the ball rolling.
2
No. This is straight-up negligence.
2
Rich and not-so-rich folks alike.
2
Except some naive Democrats.
2
The government has no incentive to do better since healthcare in Canada is a state monopoly.
2
But we do grossly shortchange our doctors which is necessary to make healthcare universal and "free." Interestingly, we don't shortchange our administrators or committees. <It's greed...> A response to the grandiose sense of entitlement ordinary Canadians have expecting world-class care and treatment but refuse to pay world-class prices, at least upfront.
1
Doctor's wages are more or less set by the government.
1
They as in the provincial government. <Conservative government's goal is to be more like the Americans with a private system.> So what's the Liberal government's goal? To make the healthcare system more like Venezuela's?
1
They do generally, because they don't have to put their lives and health on the line like men do to earn a living and support the household and society.
1
Interesting considering France has the best overall system in the world.
1
What makes you say that?
1
Canada already has that. What it doesn't have like Europe is the private option.
1
Especially Democrats.
1
You're right.
1
@vickythomas3360 Are you saying you'd much rather die in the waiting room in Canada just for the sake of not going into debt?
1
But Quebec is the worst of the bunch.
1
Ford is not the Premier of Nova Scotia where the tragedy took place.
1
In Canada, that would be politicians and those with 5 figures to spare.
1
Like many well-to-do Canadians, he probably goes across the border for his healthcare.
1
There's no corporate America in Canada's healthcare system. It's just homegrown government bureaucracy.
1
And Canada has the dubious distinction of being one of the only countries in the world along with North Korea not to have private healthcare because it's banned.
1
Canada's.
1
No. It's more worthwhile to pay upfront for actual timely healthcare.
1
Europe has private healthcare. Canada has the dubious distinction of being one of only 3 countries on Earth without private healthcare as it's de-facto banned.
1
@ValerieJean757 <Just because there are more serious injuries in the world does not mean that all Canadians aren't entitled to fair and quality treatment. > You're not going to get quality treatment with free healthcare. You're just going to get the bare minimum. <They pay for the doctors and nurses wages and all other associated expenses.> Including administrator salaries. Interestingly, there is no shortage of administrators and committees.
1
Healthcare is even more broken in Quebec.
1
Free but inefficient and inadequate.
1
It does. These are the results. Negligence, shortages, inadequacy, bureaucracy, long wait times, etc.
1
No. This is in Canada.
1
For now. But you might if Democrats stay in power any longer.
1
LOL. Public healthcare is not doing itself any favors.
1
Not with administrators.
1
According to who?
1
<We need more of our taxes to be reallocated to healthcare!> It already is. Just to administrators and other higher-ups.
1
Canada's healthcare system is state-run.
1
Especially in Democrat-run utopias.
1
But we have enough administrators, bureaucrats and committee members.
1
How? Since the healthcare is free, even if they sue and won, they're not going to get much.
1
There is nothing capitalist about Canada's healthcare system.
