@tnsocialist1257 Austerity wouldn't have been needed if Argentina's economy was solvent and managed decently. This is what happens when you pander to people "in need" with no viable economy to support it having to rely on outside aid and loans.

There's hardly anything laissez-faire about Argentina. Argentina is a country with a bloated public sector and an economy too overtaxed and regulated to reliably support the model.
