How can they lower the price when it's costing more to produce, distribute and supply?

@o1ecypher Right.

Does that include Justin Trudeau and gang?

Define rich. Because in Mao-era China, an ordinary shopkeeper was considered rich.
2
Because the government jacked up the taxes on them.

@orbiteflow8909 And Canadian food businesses are not?
1
No it shouldn't.
1
Don't complain when that results in workers getting fired or their hours cut because their employers deemed them too expensive to keep around. And prices are raised across the board to support that $30/hour minimum wage you're asking for.
1
So does government extortion.

Wrong! Inflation is caused by government overspending.

@vmitchinson No it shouldn't.
1
@danwelterweight4137 Carbon tax has plenty to do with the government.
1

1
There is such thing as inflation. It's courtesy of government delusion.
1
How is making them reduce the profits going to solve anything expect render them less solvent?
1
What do you mean your wealth? You voluntarily exchanged it for their services. At that point, the money is no longer yours but theirs.
1
And in the process bar new renters from renting and be left to deal with housing shortages no one will want to build anything.
1
But the government is the worst of them all.
1
Tax the rich ironically benefits the rich. <capitalistic greed and neoliberal selfishness.> Into what? Socialist greed and neo-Bolshevik delusion?
1
And also lower the wages to what they once were when the food was "affordable."
1
NAnd where is the money going to come from to pay for it?
1
@bmw803 Those kids need to take that up with their own governments.
1
And without business, employees wouldn't have a job at all.
1
@PureLotusPond But they have no obligation to.
1
We already have Safeway and IGA.
1
Costco and Walmart are not dedicated grocers.
1
While in socialism, all competition is outlawed and the government is the only competitor allowed to exist.
