Turkey was richer than their EU neighboors, who were getting destroyed by the great recession. Human rights was improving in Turkey too, relations with the Kurds as well and their Arab neighboors. But some unfortunate events made Erdogan resentful and hostile. He has great ambitions, and it would had gone South sooner or later.

  50. @michaelkatz275  Those North Korean troops are students, they are under training. Russia doesn't need them, they are inexperienced in Russian weaponry. Difference between mercenaries fighting for Russia and Ukraine is that Ukranian mercenaries are from nato, they know the weapons. They fully fight for Ukraine. Russian losses are low, that's why they take it so slow.
