For years, I thought the US was holding the EU hostage with all these millitairy bases. Now I understand it's the EU holding the US hostage. WW2 is over, 1940s Germans are no more and so is the USSR. Time to move on from Nato and cold war mentality, start anew. Russia should have a say in Europe's security architecture, it's an equal country to Germany, France and UK in many ways. Its millitairy is stronger than all theirs combined, Russia should be the hegemone of Europe.
