Stelios is wonderful. I would never allow my children in a home like Margaret's. Hoarding is a terrible disease. The psychology is so interesting.

I thought Sam was Alisons son ! She shouldn't be in a relationship, at least for a while. Jo, is interesting in that she makes her bed ( sort of) and she vacuums.

They all need to get rid of 75% of what they own, and if something doesn't have a place to be, it goes too. Then cleaning is easy, and they can each be responsible for their own bedroom.

This is insanity. She doesn't want the bugs crawling around her food ( who ever would???) yet she sprays the food with bug spray :P The after is obviously much nicer and cleaner, but she still has too much stuff. The psychology behind it is interesting. Judy should have put a stop to this way before it got to this point.

I keep a tidy home, but watching this kind of show (especially Hoarders tv show) always makes me want to clean even more
54
The cleaners really should wear masks. The first hoarder, in the 5 story town home.... makes my heart break for the home. So much disrespect for the building. His smoking could very easily cause a fire . I hope the problem really will be solved long term. Both hoarders lives are so sad. I hope the best for them. I feel the saddest for Sarah.

Stelios is amazing, and so good at what he does for people. I'm so happy for David and his progress. π₯°ππ΅πΈπποΈπβοΈ

Jans "clutter free" living room is still too cluttered as is her bedroom. She still has a long way to go. I hope she keeps doing it.
38
NO sane person would choose to be in a wheel chair
31
What a group of foolish people !!! I don't think Jillian has any idea of what anything is worth, she's useless.
31
My children are the most important to me. Things are just that, things...stuff....clutter. While I realize this is a mental disorder, the fact that family/people are much more important than any thing. They only hate the dirt and dust when someone from the outside comes in. Liz claims to not be able to declutter because of a thyroid issue, yet she is very able to climb over everything. The real test is how it looks within the next 5 years.
29
LOVE Aggie ! She is such an angel to people. Everyone should practice Swedish death cleaning. It's one of the kindest gifts you can give your family when your time comes.
26
Tracy is on crutches, but she can certainly bring the junk in, but can't get it out. I think Tracy and Richard can do a lot more. There is still way too much stuff. Mayrann reminds me of Kim Woodburn :) What amazes me is when family members think that you should keep items from relatives who have passed, even if you don't really want all of them, and they do a guilt trip on you, but if you say it back to them they come up with all of the excuses why they "can't" . Rubbish ! My Mom always said, if you don't want it , don't keep it !

Classic hoarders response : "It's not a hoarding problem, it's a storage problem". As Suze Orman says "People first, then money then things"
26
I've been widowed for over 12 years after being married for many years. If people feel they are alone, they need to get out, or have others over. They need to get involved in something, there is so much everyone can do, they just have to choose to do it. Bless the 100 yr old lady :)
24
If you have to put your stuff in storage, then you have at least 50% too much. I didn't think the second woman had that much to deal with. I think it was more the emotional part of it that made her not deal with it right away. I know how that feels, but when my parent passed we dealt with things quickly, which made the emotions easier to deal with. I have many of my Mom's paintings that she painted, and have them very proudly hung gallery style on my living room wall.
23
Storage units should only be used when you are in the middle of prepping and selling your home. But even then , when I was selling our last home, I didn't use a storage unit. But I did donate a lot, after living in the condo for 18 yrs. The only other reasn to keep a unit might be if you have a business and need the storage for product. But even then, those products should be moved regularly.
22
Its easier for her to help someone else get rid of their hoard because she is not attached to the other persons things. But getting rid of your own is far more difficult. I'm so glad I am not a collector of things.
22
Her mother is so selfish!!!!!
22
There are very few legitimate reasons for having a storage unit, and even then just a few weeks or months maybe. This show is proof you just don't need a storage unit, and you need to deal with your stuff right away.

The first man is crazy. If he had put that much cash in some kind of savings, it would have been a lovely gift to leave to his daughter., or have for his retirement, or travel. I have to wonder, do these people on this show realize that when they pass on, their "precious" junk will be tossed
18
50,000 pounds...unbelievable, and so foolish
16
So sad. They say they gather things to recycle, but they never recycle them. I feel so sorry for Olive.
15
WONDERFUL therapy for them to see ALL of their things in the warehouse. Brilliant strategy !! The living room is kind of nice, except for that moose head over the fireplace, which is very tacky. And I like the kitchen, but the bedroom is awful. I couldn't stand having someone else decorate my home. Time to put a ring on it Stuart !!π
14
Hideous kids, clueless "parents". Get rid of 80% of what they own
14
We all make our choices in life. Not smoking can help a lot π€¨
13
Love Aggie!!! πππ But, I do wish she would grow out her bangs an inch or so :)
12
This show, for the sake of entertainment, is showing extremes. At least there is some truth, as is with most "reality" tv shows. The shock value always sells. The UK has their own fish cannery.
12
Why would anyone even think about hiring an agent until after the house is cleared out and ready for sale?? Was this just for the drama of the show?π€¨

Β @NaemenΒ It's when you clean out, and organize your things, paper, legal business etc. so when its your time to go, your family will not have so much to deal with. Losing a loved one is difficult enough without having to deal with their unfinished business. Happy New Year ! πππππ
10
I know most of the time the spaces are better than they were, but it always looks like they still need to get rid of even 50% more
10
You only have one legal spouse. These people are creepy and have a lot of issues
10
Actually that was wrong information. My brother recently went to a place with his 45's and got over $300 for them.
8
Alan.....so sad, just sad, living in the past.. and John is just one of those people who is book smart, but has no common sense
8
Sounds like Lynn was hanging on too long, and , after the divorce, should have immediately taken hold of her life and expenses. Could she have sold the house? She certainly could have saved herself thousands of $$$ by dealing with her stuff soon after, even before or during the divorce
8
It's one thing to have a few of one thing neatly put in its place , but filth, clutter, items just thrown around and disaster is a whole different thing. I like the therapy of the hoarders visiting other hoarders. I think its very eye opening for them, brings them out of their bubble. Claire might want to think about dressing a bit more modest/professional when visiting people.
7
Β @ArtJourneyUKΒ I did say that in my comment. Sadly when he passes, his daughter or other family will have to deal with his "stuff" which is never right. I have down sized considerably so my children will have an easier time when I go.
6
Hi hair... awful, just awful silly foolish man. The young man I feel very sorry for π God bless him π
6
A carer with no experience? No thank you
6
Curtis is in no way an asset to this show
5
Oh she is just so precious.
5
God Bless her, She is amazing. I'm glad her story is out there
5
A fool and his (or her) money are soon parted
5
Sounds like they got an adjustable mortgage. Always, always get a fixed rate mortgage. If you can't get a fixed rate, then you probably can't afford it. Also, only buy a home if you can afford it on one income. As the video continues, you can see the bad choices they have made, yet they expect to be like wealthier people.
5
Aggie is so wonderful ! She helps so many people
5
Amazing woman. Bless her

There was a little girl in my daughters kindergarten class who had an arm similar to Natalie's. She had a prosthetic arm that her Mom painted the finger nails. I know it was difficult for her to be with kids who all had 2 normal arms. After that year in school I didn't see her again . But after she adjusted to being in school, I think she did ok. Ava'a Dad is so sweet and caring, as is, of course her Mom. The obstacle course... I'm not crying, you're crying :) tfs π₯°βββππβπ

Even those with this condition should be taught and properly disciplined . No swearing, no destructive behavior.

If Angelica got breast reduction, she would look much slimmer
4
Wow!!! What a miracle ! What a difference !!!! So happy for her! ππππππ
