If people become combative when presented with objective evidence, you're dealing with cognitive dissonance. In essence, the evidence you present could somehow crush their reality. People attach all sorts of beliefs to other beliefs. For example, if a person equates being vaccinated with being a noble, caring person (part of the propaganda campaign) then your demonstrating they were duped (if they suffer from irrational thinking) might somehow mean they're ignoble and uncaring. Thus, they have a vested interest in defending the lie. This is completely illogical, of course. Being lied to has nothing to do with the victim. It's only proof that the liar is uncaring and ignoble. But you'd be surprised how common this weird sort of self-blame and strawman logic is. The more strongly a person needs to hold on to their irrational beliefs, the more combative or dismissive they will be. I hope this helps.
