  2. Manning was a whistleblower. Supposed whistle blowers who were spreading gossip during the Trump admin were given the red carpet treatment. You couldn't even mention their name but when Manning exposed crimes during the Obama admin the media suddenly no longer cared to protect actual whistleblowers. Look at the Bush era torture whistleblower. He had full media protection while Bush was president and they were not going to charge him with a crime. As soon as Obama got in office they were able to go after him with no protest.
