  1. I think the ultra jingoistic rhetoric against Trump in 2016 was meant to turn his base against Trump but it failed. It did work on progressives and liberals who joined the Bush/Cheney neocons in supporting war.

  3.  @ericvulgate  Nope, The Cheney neocons joined forced with the Progressive democrats to create policy limiting Trumps ability to remove more troops from Afghanistan. The Syrian envoy admitted he lied to Trump about the number of troops in Syria because he wanted more removed. Many examples.
