@boostar155 Exactly, slavery had to get government subsidies to make it economically viable which means it was not good for the economy. Also the people who benefited from slavery back then are the same type of people who benefit by talking about slavery in 2023. If they knew what we know now they would have probably brought more slaves in and sent a lot more to states like TX.
