  1. IMO they want to create the idea that this type of thing is acceptable. They are happy when someone from the other side does it because they can use it to get more power. Democrats/media for a year said riots were acceptable and protests do not have to be peaceful. A few idiots on Jan 6th seemed to have believed that and it gave democrats/neocons something they could use to get more power.
