  2.  @00-JT  Only the dogma has changed but its the same behavior. Power is almost always wielded in the same way no matter who has it. Back in the 90s the right had their little groups that would call advertisers thousands of times. Now the progressive left has groups that do the same thing but on social media. Its a minority of people making themselves appear larger than they really are to get whatever they want.

  4.  @tpsam  I think you could argue the progressive left may be worse but I'm not sure. I think things were a little more balanced in the 90s because the talent side was liberal and the business side was conservative. Also separation of church and state did place some restrictions on the power of the right.

  5. The difference is power. The "Melonie Mac" side has no institutional power. The far left extremists like Hasan have all the power so they can coerce you to apologize for offending them.

The religious right currently has no power while the progressive left has all the power and they are using it in the same way. The only reason he has to grovel is because he said things that those with power are offended by. I'm sure people are offended by this apology but those people don't have the power to coerce an apology.
