The pattern I see is progressive governance. There was pre Rudy Giuliani NYC and post Bloomberg NYC. The demographics stayed the same but leadership changed from republican and independent to progressive under DeBlasio.

Don't forget Denver and Chicago. Denver is probably worse then them all because Denver only has a 4.4 billion dollar budget. NYC is over 100 billion. Denver ran out of "free" stuff over a year ago.

Progressive leadership. I know what you are getting at but New York under Rudy Giuliani and Bloomberg had the same demographics and much lower crime. The biggest problem is that one demographic will vote 90% for democrats no matter how bad they are.

Yup, you will see an increase in home invasions in NYC and unfortunately for NYC, they voted to disarm themselves. You will also see k1dnapping for ransom. They will go after regular people, not the rich, and demand low amounts of money that average people can pay.

Progressives don't see it as robbery because they don't believe in private property. They see the property owner as the criminal victimizing the person who wants stuff.

Progressives have a different definition of what crime is. Elect progressives and they will still place people in jail who progressives see as criminals.
