  1. You only need a Sliwa when your city is ran by progressives. NYC was awful pre Rudy and its now awful post Rudy. I'm not a fan of Bloomberg but he did keep the Giuliani anti crime policies going. Then they elected the commie and it was predictable that NYC would go back to pre Rudy.

  2. It wouldn't matter. People are voting for this so even if you fire him he will be replaced by another progressive. Look at SF, they fired the DA, and he was replaced by another progressive who will likely be just as bad.
