  1. Its gives the minority hope for change through a vote. It lessens the possibility of a revolution when people know they have a chance at getting change through a vote. In places like SF and NYC people just move but if we had a mob rule system nationwide there would be no moving.

  2. The electoral college is brilliant because it gives the minority hope of winning. It would not be good if the entire country was like San Fransisco or NYC and people knew getting change through voting was futile.

  3. When you go issue by issue black voters agree with republicans 70% of the time. Democrats think they want a pure democracy but they would not like it when they end up losing on 70% of issues.
