  1. Democrats always do things to put on a show and create a public perception. Dems will lie to impeach Trump twice just so they can run campaign adds saying he was impeached twice. Doing things just for show seems to be a useful tool in politics. You hold them in contempt and even if there is no actual punishment you can run campaign adds saying they were held in contempt. The average uninformed or misinformed voter is swayed by stuff like that.

  3. The bigger shame is we don't have a real opposition party. Too many Republicans like Thomas Massie who come to the defense of democrats like Schiff. When democrats decide to lie and go after Trump, they all go with it, you never see one democrat break from the ranks.
