  2. NYers (not all) hate their enemies more than they care about themselves. They will elect people who run on going after Trump and other political enemies even if they also run on freeing violent criminals.

  3. The leaders are just a reflection of the voters in these places. Democrats are not lying when they campaign, they tell people they will do this stuff and people choose to vote for them.

  4. A mask ban will do nothing if its not backed up by arrests and prison time. And if they were doing that, they wouldn't need a mask ban.
