@alexs1640 You should do that before trying to make everyone buy an electric car. Currently the vast majority of these cars are being fueled by coal. The only viable alternative would be building more nuclear power plants.

@alexs1640 Yes and advanced coal plants are very clean these days. But nuclear power would be cleaner and probably a lot cheaper.

It should be like most new tech. The rich buy it first at high prices and eventually it improves and gets cheaper,

Thats the ironic thing. All the leftist hippies complaining about carbon are also the ones who stopped the building of nuclear power plants in the 50s and 60s which would have lowered their carbon issue.

The George Carlin bit on environmentalists is still true today. The vast majority of these electric cars are powered by coal. Most just want their little spot of the earth to be clean and thats fine but don't try to sell me on the BS that its about the earth on a global scale.

@KaosNova2 Interdasting... I saw a local news report about electric cars. They asked the GM spokesperson where does the power come from and she said you just plug it into the wall. They eventually got her to admit that in that specific area the power is coming 95% from coal. The video is titled: GM spokesperson admits 95% of 'clean' energy to charge electric cars comes from COAL
