@orkhepaj The voters set them free through the people they elected. As far as I know the judges are required by law to let them go as long as they have no reason to believe they may be a flight risk, By NYC law, judges are not allowed to take a potential public danger into account.

@ Systematic oppression and racism is a thing but all the areas with those problems are democrat ran. Look at LA hiring people based on race and sex. But good luck getting people who complain about these things to admit their vote is the source of their complaints.

Subjecting the rich and powerful to their policies would change things. The sad thing is that the average person will vote against their own interests and the only way to get them to stop doing that is by subjecting the rich to these policies so the rich will change the narrative.

Tribal voting is the source of the problem. If you put these issues on a ballot, I guarntee the majority in NYC would side with republicans 70% of the time. But those same people will blindly vote democrat.

The politicians are just a reflection of the voters. People need to start voting on the issues and stop voting for party.

The only power voters have is their vote. The rich will cut off the money in 1 second if the politicians don't do as they are told. The average voter in NYC is easy to string along with empty promises. The voters need to be as picky with their vote as the rich are with their money.
