  1. The problem is the non violent people who went to jail. Assault on a cop can be anywhere from 3 months to 10 years depending on the severity of injuries.

  2.  @curtisjamesbeck8789  Its local cops vs national cops. The right generally likes their local cops but do not like the national cops. The left is the other way around, they hate their local cops and love the national. The interesting thing is the local cops the left hates are almost always democrat ran police departments like LA, Chicago, Baltimore, Minneapolis etc. I think its because the left votes for an authoritarian police state and it affects them when its on a local level. The right votes for less gov so their local cops have less excuses to harass them. You are right to laugh at anyone who says the right is the party of law and order. ts clear that democrats put way more people in jail than republicans. Democrats even tried to put a president in jail over book keeping.
