Not defending the kid but I always thought it was weird how laws don't seem to apply in schools and teachers can take your stuff. Suspend or expel the kid if they are being a nuisance but no stealing.

Innocent? The teacher stole from him. His reaction wasn't acceptable but don't take other peoples stuff.

@gammasmash1924 That is stealing. Laws i general don't seem to apply in schools, you can steal, bully, harass, stalk. If you did the things kids did in school, in the work place, you would be arrested.

@HelghastDiver So expel or suspend the kid but don't steal stuff.

@HelghastDiver Of course there would be warnings and suspensions before expelling.

@editedforprivacy207 You said "a kids toy". Kids can't afford toys so its not theirs. If a kid is acting up you can take the toy because its your property that you paid for.

@ReceiptBae No but I am a recovering libertarian so I still have some of those belifies of private property.

@FANTOllVll For sure, the reaction was insane and wrong, jail time is warranted. But the teacher stole his property. Both can be true at the same time.

@protoman1214 lol you sound like a democrat. Its like democrats who say we aren't stealing your property, we are confiscating your property for safety and democracy..

@FANTOllVll If you are a student in high school and go to the police because of someone harassing you, beating you up, bullying stalking etc, the cops would also do nothing. Thats the point, the law doesn't seem to apply in schools.
