  1. for me depends on what one believes to be god really. summary: say universe = x x = god what does x stand for? labels are meaningless as is the term atheist + theist. We just don't care as these terms do not advance society science or knowledge. Frankly they are worthless terms. long explanation: may confuse you. if you say the universe itself is god as it did in fact create everything. per say as a metaphor. IF it is organized religion then nope of course those gods are not logical. If god was truly good he would let anyone good in not just those that believe in him, and condemn those that would believe in him but still commit immoral acts anyway regardless of what they do in his/her/it's name. Otherwise the god that they believe in is in fact an evil god regardless of what he/she can do for the people that believe in god. That is just from a moral standpoint. If we must believe in a certain god to be saved then that god is in fact evil. Good gods would have enough morals to save others regardless of their beliefs. Hence why the conventional gods we see are most likely largely embellished. Now if it is about just a creator of us then it is very plausible and I can go along with it. same as one would believe in the possibilities of aliens. God himself is likely an alien as all aliens mean = out of this world. hence forth All god means is just an advanced being that is superior to humans whom can create us.  We can later see and treat aliens as gods as they would be more advanced than us. Thus the definition of god for each person is in fact highly important. For most people it's just a savior when they die. For others it's something else. This goes into philosophy then. ALSO Norse gods were not all powerful so GODS DO NOT NEED TO BE OMNIPOTENT. They just need to be very powerful or superior to humans that are sort of our creators to be gods.  That's why I said definition of what god is, is the factor here. So what if one believes there is no god but they believe in spirits and souls instead. Many Atheists would not even humor that. Many Atheists have already said Buddhists are in fact atheists. But Buddhists didn't want anything to do with the term Atheist label. Frankly many agnostics don't even want anything to do with the atheist crowd. Because of the amount of idiotic atheists online forcing agnostics to be labeled as atheists no matter what. Can't we be agnostic daoists/pantheists etc? We can believe the universe to be god then and heaven and hell itself would be the universe itself as we become atoms of the universe again when we die. We don't know. As a result we are free to choose what we want to believe or not believe. We don't need to be theist or atheist. We can also just believe in the universe as god being the metaphor for the universe/mother nature.

  3. Saiite all hail lord Odin. really though I thought Ragnarok killed them :-) proving that gods can in fact die and be birthed. omnipotent maybe not but very powerful gods/beings Careful of loki and his minions now he is after all the god trickery. Norse gods pretty much prove that you don't need to be all powerful to be a god. Just very powerful relative to the population and they worship you in some way. Other religions consider Norse gods as idol worship though rather than a true god. Thus as I said the definition of god is going to be the main basis of what is an agnostic/atheist. choices: 1. belief in all powerful being that created us all and the universe 2. one doesn't believe in an all powerful god but believes there to be powerful beings that created us eg aliens made us as an experiment. 3. random universe created us at random interval, we are just a freak accident there may be more. I am more inclined with choice number 2. atheists would not have it though and would force you to be labeled as an atheist no matter what... aliens are not gods therefore you are an atheist... We really don't care but it seems many atheists want to force that label onto us.  That's where it gets annoying. Especially when they didn't even completely define what god is yet. and no god is not omnipotent as I gave plenty of examples of non omnipotent gods. They may as well say Norse god believers are atheists if their definition of gods apply to them. Simply illogical. They do not acknowledge different cultures and views just as much as the christian theists. besides they do not need more atheists because there are over 50% of the world being atheists thanks to buddhism/shintoism/shamanism/daoism. They do not believe in gods they believe in spirits and cultivation of the spirits. Atheists themselves said that Buddhism is atheist after all. not me nor theists. So atheists can in fact have religion and be just as religious making their term completely USELESS anyway depending on what they want to say or not say. Just admit that being atheist or not is meaningless just as being theist or not is meaningless. === wall of text end just ranting because of the amount of hate for not wanting to be labeled either theist or atheist. both sides really are .... (fill in the blank.)

  6. Benzene because really you dont need to call them god we made the term up ourselves. it really doesn't matter either way. its just a description of something better than you that you worship. so are the so called idols/spirits that certain groups or religions gods or not. we call them gods but they are also not omnipotent. I give Norse Mythology and other mythologies as examples. Western Atheists are focusing too much on western religion because that's where the term atheism comes from and as a result are most suited for that form of god. But they fail in other contexts. IF Atheists only concern itself with believing in god  then any and all other superstitious religions can be considered atheists. which are by and large 50-60% of the world being atheists then. Are they all going to say they are atheist then. They sure don't consider themselves as such. They all still go to temples and worship idols that are not considered gods by atheism standards because their gods are not omni-potent and all powerful doing whatever the heck they want. they are powerful, but not all powerful. Just like asking someone for a favor which you cannot do. It is not guaranteed that they will succeed but they have a better chance of completing the task than yourself.   EG hiring a plumber vs doing it yourself. Consider the plumber the god of fixing pipes then as he/she is better than it than you. or consider the computer scientist or doctor  the gods of trouble shooting your computer or medicine. Really the definition of what god is then needs to be established. they want to say omnipotent being? but plenty of gods are NOT OMNIPOTENT at all. Gods can in fact be killed in many religions,
