income taxes you mean
2
smart lady can do maf unlike most of america.
2
based on % of time spent there throughout the year. of course fair is fair. you waste resources you get taxed. if you can afford a second house you should probably just rent it out as well.
2
@LJ-jq8og i dont mind. go rent a hotel snowbird. you aint a local.
2
Would be the same with HOA now and insurance. More and more protection money wanted.
2
Correct ask California bay area workers making 75-80k and not able to rent for shit
2
Let them keep spam building until the cartels go bankrupt spam building is key
1
bribing and collusion
1
Mainly because of prop 13 which has income tax payers subsidizing property owners we all know ca us the most regressive state in existence
1
It's because you don't own the land a house is worthless. The land is what is valuable with infrastructure you never built
1
Wen traffic causes it to be 40 min away from you for 5 miles
1
Smaller sqft don't mean shit 1500 sqft is 2 m in Bay area nub closets for NYC if you want 2k plus 3-5 m for nothing
1
Can you imagine they refuse to build and instead force you to pay arms and legs for nothing and then steal
1
Well prop owners wanted higher prop values that's what they get then. Unlike ca that has prop 13 to milk the income tax payers to subsidize their prop values. They actually need to pay prop tax on the market value
1
Suggest gov to implement progressive property taxes. One house 1500 sqft is 0.5% Based on sqft. 3000 sqft is 1% 2% to 4500 then 6000 is at 3% etc until 10%. Since corporations are people and trusts are people they are also treated the same way. 1500 for them at low prices and increases. That should curb speculators.
1
Yep they wont buy they will build
1
The money they made is saving on rent per yr. They can pay for that a house is an expense not an asset deal with it.
1
I'm for it
1
They should advertise it to van life crowd and make vans and converts. They should offer that service. Changing Toyota sienna to van life's would sell very well. Considering rent is so high
1
I use coupons. Only if coupons lower prices. Otherwise no rather go Chick fil a or in and out
1
A house is a depreciating asset land appreciates and also property taxes don't pay for infrastructure typically it's income tax that subsidizes infrastructure. Too bad your houses are worthless.
1
Wow 25k insurance? Fuk that shit build a tiny house and ignore insurance
1
Well houses are typically worthless
1
one should only count total cost when it is at 0% down compared to interest rates they would get on us treasuries maybe count the pmi otherwise dont bother and count it as 0% down and if you get more from us treasuries vs renting then dont even bother buying.
1
Better to be homeless and have assets than a house
1
Too much work for little gain more like a pain and they steal from you
1
Bought by corporations to force more income taxes and to steal from plebs while paying nothing especially on property
1
If you want to get that overpriced house sold, increase the property values and then they'll get desperate. If it's vacant, that is, especially if it's vacant. Multiply to text by 10 times Let's see how they like that
1
2700 only a nickle per month basically but at least you found them nickle and diming you. better than nothing they are relying on people not noticing.
1
@NOBODY-zf5nt welcome to the environment recycling water.
1
@carolbagwell6769 thats why most filter their water now. reverse osmosis and such
1
Simple don't rent an expensive location or buy an expensive property
1
Income tax is fraud prop tax is local deal with your local fraud you voted into place
1
@ they will likely force income tax payers to pay for it again as always. the biggest tax scam in the world is income tax not property tax.
1
While producing nothing
1
Local issue and also the fraud is by your local population. That means no one else but yourselves to blame for all being frauds because the house valuation is too high. If that's the case, just if you want lower prices lower the price
1
The whole system is to steal from wealth creators or income tax payers to subsidize land lords Nope landlords deserve to be taxed the most at this point for stealing for the past 100 yrs They produce nothing and want benefits
1
Tell me when 500 sqft is 1000 in Bay area
1
Isn't that were ken griffin the billionaire that burnt down the warehouse was from? Wall Street Options market is there as well as cartels.
1
FYI that 35 trillion doesn't suddenly disappear some certain individuals get this 35 trillion frequently it's the elites looting the country
1
They may as well make fast food vending machines and not hire anyone that itself is automation it's 100 yrs old tech but that is ai.
1
Next let's all vote to remove income taxes and do national land value taxes ideally and prop tax if not enough. Let's watch the rich squirm.. You still get tax deductions or if you live in it based on citizens per sqft
1
Better to preempt the rents and just not pay. If you don't want a credit hit then living in van is ideal until the market crashes
1
The issue is idiotic home owners won't sell and spam build houses to crash the price now they complain about taxes I have no sympathy for nimbys
1
The one saying the prices are going up for housing is because of their nimbus policies intentionally restricting supply when driving prices up. That's why they have a lot of homeless
1
A house is a depreciating asset it's the land that appreciates not houses
1
also 30-40% the labor in housing is income tax rather just do it myself remove income taxes and suddenly labor becomes much cheaper. 75% of the cost of house = labor. thus reducing initial set up costs. then just do property tax ideally LVT instead but since the landlords need to be punished first prop tax is better until landlords go bankrupt.
1
I asked a few locals about it health officials school officials if it is worth paying rent over food and medical care. All of us agreed shelter like this is the last thing you should pay for it's not worth sacrificing food medical to pay for rent. Just drop the house.
1
because the propety value is ridiculous when price of house goes up so does everything else. dumb asses wanting price of houses going up causing more problems for everyone.

Here's a simplified breakdown: Accept change: Be prepared to move and adapt to changing circumstances, even if it means leaving a beloved location. Challenge the status quo: Don't be tied to any one place, government, or institution. Create your own path and find solutions outside of traditional systems. Prioritize self-sufficiency: Land ownership: Acquire land to build your own home. Temporary housing: Use a cheap trailer as temporary housing while you build. DIY construction: Minimize costs by building as much as possible yourself. Focus on essentials: Build a small, efficient house (around 500 sq ft) with basic amenities. Advocate for change: Push for affordable and efficient housing solutions from manufacturers. In essence, the goal is to achieve a more independent and adaptable lifestyle by: Owning your own land. Building your own home (or a significant portion of it). Minimizing reliance on traditional housing systems. This approach emphasizes personal responsibility, resourcefulness, and a willingness to embrace change. used AI to shorten it and make it more legal for internet.
