  2. Only thing I don't understand is why does China tax food imports. I went to China once and looked at the fruit. All of them are overpriced and low quality....I didn't like it at all. Healthy food is so expensive why out tariffs on food imports then? Health medicine is also low quality. Very low quality. Are they stupid? Why put tariffs on the fundamentals of an economy the health of your people? Also tariffs on commodities are bad. Tariffs on finished goods are more reasonable or strategic resources only. Well I do think this hurts China more than USA. In this case. Good healthy food is the most part of an economy and health. After that is energy. Then raw materials. The pyramid. 1. Base is food + water 2. Health. 3. Energy 4. raw materials. 5. Manufacturing to make weapons and stuff yourself when needed 6. Everything else

  3.  J S.  my bio professor commented on this as well when I asked. We debated. The thing is I think it depends on what Gene's they've used on the foods. If done right it wont cause cancer if done badly it may cause cancer. We dont know. We also don't know what foods cause cancer as it takes many years. So it's a good argument. You see anything that harms or inflames the body causes cancer. Because your body needs to repair that area with fast cell division. Promoted by inflammation. Like free radicals. That is what causes cancer not food by itself. Gluten is said to be bad because it causes inflammation I have a theory that it would cause cancer as well given if it inflames your body. Bacon as well was reported. But it is in fact anything that causes the body to be inflamed that helps cause cancer not just GMOs by itself. Also smoking and alchohol causes cancer. For sure. China seems to be drinking and smoking left and right. I do not smoke or drink much if at all btw. I also do no drugs not even 420 weed like most 420 smokers are promoting in USA as the next big stock industry. My prof and I also discussed that even cross breeding of different species is already manipulation of Gene's GMO. So GMOs by itself isnt the problem then unless it causes inflamation. As some strains are cross bred some are better than others. Like alleles of dominant genes. But That is my theory. My perspective was like yours until my Professor enlightened me years ago.

  4.  J S.  so I suggest China cut smoking drinking and such out of their diet. Those cause cancer. There is also the problem of people going to Hong Kong to buy baby formula. I forsee them doing it more so now. I pity Hong Kong needing to deal with mainland China migrants looting their city for food and medical resources to go back to the mainland. Hong Kong already has too much inflation in rent and property now they have to deal with high food prices... I'm sorry you have to go through this Hong Kong....
