high property values increases rent prices because higher mortgages and property tax. then kicking people out no duh. that's wut you get for jacking prices of houses up. this is why you don't encourage high price of property. anyway. local gov should get a huge increase in tax bills for property taxes for the time being until landlords go bankrupt. for the time being people should not endorse this behavior do not look for even a new place instead van life it and then find new locations. IF wages do not pay enough for local rent then the area is not affordable and should be discarded and create a new city instead. landlords cannot charge more than the market will bear. once you say no they either lower prices or go bankrupt or sell property at a loss. they are trying to find out where they can charge the most rent. I'd say increase property taxes further and as vacant they will pull no income and go bankrupt. GG to landlords trying to jack prices of housing up rent or property values.
