Many of these villages supported our enemy. The had radios to contact our enemy, & give our troops location. The kids/women tried to kill you. No way of telling if a village was friend, or foe. 1 suspicious move could set our boys off. It's die. Or react.

Shame Tell the horrors our boys endured. Tell how the villagers were supporting our enemy. How they tried to injure or kill our boys. War is , you kill 1st, or you're killed. This article is unfair.

@josephprentice8354 What's your point? A child can kill. Have you been in battle. Our family has several men facing death. A horrorific method of it. Money villagers were supporters of the north Vietnamese. My brother saved hi a men's lives. A break in a little shop. A small boy came with with a shoe shine kit. He set it down closest to our boys & quickly left. My brother knew something wasn't right. He yell to his men, get out. As they ran out the shop exploded. A couple of Marines got hurt. Pray you never have to choose being killed or killing another. War is a living hell

@ydzz3478 What? Assume you want Info. We had family members there. We knew others. Sat in the officers club talk about things there. War changes a man's mind set. Until you're in the belly of hell. No one can judge. Non combatants can't understand. They are self righteous judges. Our boys came back damaged. Living with nightmares. Remember many of these villagers were supporting our enemy. The women/kids trying to injure, or kill our boys. Impossible to distinguish friend or foe. War is ugly. Innocents get hurt. Look at 911, Innocent people killed. Hate sees no good. Read what the enemy did to our boys. It's not 1 sided. Don't be to fast to judge. Until you're in a blood bath. Who is reporting this. Sounds foreign Did a rare few men escape reality, & killed innocents? Has the enemy killed our innocent? Not justifying, but pls be realistic. War effects someone in strange ways. Knowing death is a minute away You'll never see home or family again. God will judge each person.

@Only1Osunde I'm explaining no one knows the fear? & dread in another. War is insanity. Horrors no human should see/hear. My family is military. Yes fought in WWII, KOREA, & NAM. 1 navy, 2 Marines. They saw men blown into bits, heard thd screams, smelled the blood. Really if you faces being killed, or killing to stay alive, what would you do? Many of these villagers were supporters of the enemy. Women, kids tried to kill our boys. They'd radio in the locations of our boys. You couldn't distinguish between friend, or foe. Read about the horrors our boys endured. Yes, a few cracked under the stress. Not knowing if someone will try to kill you, you strike 1st. War is HELL. I'm just saying g, put yourself in a position where you are a target for death. Yes it's sad, but in any War innocent people get killed. Is it acceptable, no. The boys that come home are changed. I've seen strong brave cry, I've held till the nightmares leave. For that day. I only ask just judge until you're in a warriors shoes. They didn't ask to be put into Hell. But let's talk about people on our home streets being killed. And they walk Away because bleeding hearts forget about the victim. Remember our warriors have to live everyday with memories of blood, guts, screams. Seeing their buddies torn apart by gun fire, or bombs. I hate death. But I don't judge these boys. They would have preferred being home with family. As others with no clue of what the insanity of war does to a humans thought process. I hope I can make some understand the insanity of choosing your life, or taking another's. Not knowing just who is an enemy. Armchair judges don't know the truth. They didn't live Hell.

@Baldie731 South Vietnam wanted us there. They wanted no part of communist North Vietnam. As supporters of freed, yes we went. DO NOT EVER CALL ME A HYPOCRITE. We had family members fighting over there. The South Vietnamese loved our boys. Suggest you get educated. Not listen to ignorant people.

@michaelamiller2829 Sadly it appears you've not in battle. The men in our family have WWII, Korea, & Nam. It's easy for the stay at Homer's. The couch sitters playing their childish wR games on a computer. 1st the villagers were supporters of our enemy. Yes, women,& kids. An 8yr old can kill. As a woman. 2nd, war is insanity, you become a creature fighting not to be killed, tortured. 3rd, you lose all realm of civilization. Are you aware of how this enemy fought? I can describe some methods. But I'd be banned. Our boys, who came back, had changed. They can't grasp reality of peace. A loud noise causes them to jump. nightmares.

@shairsko9360 Fact: South Vietnam needed help against North Vietnam trying to force communism on them. South Vietnam wanted our help to stay free. We don't ignore people asking to stag free. I won't argue with you. You have your opinion. We help when someone asks for it.

@GeorgeTSiy Suggest you educate yourself for Putins reasoning. He himself stated, he wants to bring back the Russian empire. He is a power hungary dictator. As a student of history, and with the knowledge of a Masters degree, facts are known. Plus Putin stated clearly his intent. Look at old clips.

Warrior who saw uunseeable horrors don't talk about them. Sit in an officers club. The ones there would give a small sampling of thd truth. Bleeding hearts have no clue. Friend from foe couldn't be distinguish. Some villagers were supporting our enemy. They'd radio our troops location. The women/kids tried killing our boys. Put yourself in that position. The world becomes insane. It's kill or be killed. Your not sitting in your chair playing solder being brave on a video fame. War is ugly. Some innocent people get killed. War is Hell. That's not just an expression. It's the life you're thrown into. You didn't ask for it. Armchair self righteous people have no right to judge. Not until its your life, live or die. If these mentioned horrors happened, it was rare. A shame yes. But I can't imagine the strange cruel world of war. The smell of blood, the twisted bodies, young young crying in pain. Scared, & dieing. Home never seen again. Do not judge until you feel a bullet or knife piercing you. To become an animal, fighting only to live. I come from a military family. WWII, KOREA? & NAM. I've seent & feel the pain these men have gone thru. I've held strong brave men as they cry. It humbles you that thete are willing to did for a cause. To help keep us safe. Yes we've been attacked by enemies. 911. But appears our pathetic schools don't teach about real life.

Until you experience HELL, don't condem . The human nature isn't made to see/endure the HORROS of war. It does change yoh. Some crack under the stress. Vietnam was a ugly jungle war. Booby traps all over. Th enemy was extremely cruel. Until you've lived Hell. It's not fair to condem. We had family members there. The few stories they told were unbelievable. Even the kids, & women were used to injure or kill our boys. The methods used horrorifying.

For arm chair non combatants, let them live hell, & not get paranoid . People are trying to kill you. And yes some crack under this pressure. In any war innocent people get killed or hurt. Look at our 911. 3000 innocent people killed. That was a small sample of hell. Don't judge too quickly. Pretend you're in a world gone insane. These big brave guys sitting on their sofa t buttons playing computer war games are a laugh. All talk, no do. Yet condem you real warrior waiting to see if he,ll survive. The men in our family fought in WWII. KOREA, & NAM. We saw the toll it took on them. Nightmares, loud noises scaring them, tears from brave men. Thinking of their best buddy getting killed, in a gruesome way. Etc. Yes I can feel their pain. I've held these men who came back, & even wished they hadn't. God will judge these men not you. I can feel their pain.

Have fought in WWII, KOREA,, & VIETNAM. I've seen 1st hand thd toll it takes on our boys. I've seen strong brave men cry. It tears your heart out. But there are causes that sadly require sacrifice. God stated " I come with a sword, not peace" evil grows if left unchecked. FREEDOM is not cheap. What amazes me, we have men who believe in a cause more important than themselves. Our founding fathers were such men. God bless the USA. Long may she be free.

Coming from a military family, we've seen our BOYS/MEN fight. WWII, KOREA, & NAM.. We've had 2 Marines Navy. Yes I've held strong brave men in my arms. I've seen the tears.
