They actually wanted to bribe him and hold him captive through the "peace prize" but he instead came his own man on his own right mostly likely through the ignorance of the western white supremacy ways and mindset. They said they gave him the "peace prize" because he made peace with Eritrea when they were using Ethiopia and TPLF against Eritrea for 3 decades with no problem but as soon as Abiy Ahmed abandoned their work they gave him awards.
