  1. In my situation the tow company itself stole the car and held it for ransom for 8 months and is asking me $12,000 to get my $2,500 worth car back!

  2.  @towtruckaj  they actually did. If it's not stealing then what's it called when they take it 10 in the morning on Sunday without any type of authorization whatsoever even another tow company's signs are posted there if anything is towed plus when I called the police tow hotline the operator told me any tow company is required to let them know it before they lift the tyres of the vehicle from the ground which they didn't do. When they took the car they didn't leave any trace.

  3.  @towtruckaj  i didn’t write the long version, I went to where the car was looked if there was any cameras there were three different neighbors who had cameras knocked their doors to ask for any footage two of them game me the footage and yes I did file a police stolen car report, went to the precinct again to tell them I have a footage who stole the car, they told me to go one precinct after another, some of them got hostile and aggressive with me because they find it difficult a tow company illegally stole a car just the same way you are finding it hard, at the end they told me I must pay the money if I want to get the car or take them to court and that there’s nothing they can do for me “because it’s not a police matter”

  4.  @towtruckaj  yeah I will exhaust all the possible ways to get it back of course without paying for a car I know they stole. Do you know any legitimate reason why a tow truck would take a car on Sunday morning without any type of authorization, especially when they are not the tow company who are assigned to the area (another company is) and didn't report to any organization who might tell the owner where the car will be located? Any ligitimate reason at all? When I filled the stolen car people report, got the footage and delivered to the precinct I thought I had open and shut case but it turned out it wasn't the way I thought. And what type of attorney is specialized on cases like this?

  5. A towing company in Boston stole my car from the street unauthorized didn't report at all and the only I found out they had it is going around asking my neighbors for footage and they have the car asking me to pay $12,000 to get it back!

  6.  @Freespirit5371  yeah I have already contacted on the phone and they told me I need to file a form online and that's they'll try to mediate between us and if we don't agree then court. I tried so many different avenues and so far nothing is working plus I was earning with the car as a delivery guy and every day they have I'm loosing income, I was paying the insurance policy as well because I thought I was going to get the car at any moment but I had to cancel the registration because I don't have any more money to pay the insurance policy. Huge mess I'm in.

  7. I have almost the exact thing happening to me right now with a towing company in Boston! They literally stole my car that used to do deliveries with from the street unauthorized on a Sunday morning January 2nd 2022 I called everyone organization who might know where my car is local, state police and city parking enforcement no one knew or told where it was and the last organization/city parking enforcement told me at this time there's nothing else to do but file a police report, I did and when I didn't hear from the local police I did my on detective work by going where the car was and looked if any of my neighbors had any cameras there I see 3 separate cameras. I knocked my neighbors doors and finally got 2 different footages the town company stealing the car, I went to the police and told them who stole the car and that I have a footage of them stealing the car. The police called them and they towing company said they had the car since November 8, 2021 I produced so much prove that they are lying but the police told me they are a towing company it's impossible for them to steal a car and that I should pay the $7,000 fee. I told them it's not right and I won't pay it but they told me there's nothing they can do it and it's not a police matter. I tried many different precincts at many different occasions and none of them want to help some of them even got hostile and aggressive with me. Few days ago I went to the company office and called 911 because some of the precincts suggested that at one point. The 911 operator told me the towing company repossessed it because I owed money by the bank but I paid full cash from a private seller so she told me the towing company couldn't possibly steal the car but she'll send a cruiser to speak to me, the police cruiser and they told me there nothing they can do because it's not a police matter even though I had a stolen car police report in my hand and they said I must pay the $11,000+ if I wanted my car! Since January 2, 2022 I didn't earn because the car was my only source of income and I'm getting desperate right now!! Where can I find help? Who can help me? Even I tried calling and visiting an organization who I was told they regulate the towing company to no avail. At the same time I was paying my insurance car policy until few days ago because I was thinking I would get my car at any day and when I couldn't pay it I cancelled it few days ago!
