I’m from Africa (somalia) first time I heard or understood what words rap contained I was horrified, it was 1998 I exactly remember where I was what building I was an what floor it as in Nairobi Kenya. And remember asking the guy who was listening “did he sang such and such?” And the guy confirmed it and told me “that’s what rappers sing about” I had so much mixed negative emotions And I couldn’t believe someone would lead a society in detrimental direction, there a so much things wrong with that. I took me many years to understand the psychic of someone like that. It’s someone who gave up life itself, who has nothing to life for, who gave up the mercy of God/universe and also it’s someone who’s a leader but don’t know nor understand how much power s/he wields. It’s a leader but doesn’t know it and is leading society to its destruction.
