Taliban got a close and unexpected contact with the US troops where they could have engaged a firefight which would actually cause more US casualties than normal circumstances where they could carry out revenge against the US but the Taliban refused to seize that opportunity just because they wanted to honor their agreement and honor their word. America was expecting to wipe the Taliban with its forces and its mercenaries in the Afghan communities for generations to come but instead the US arrangements collapsed immediately and unexpectedly and were exposed to the enemies they have created for themselves for decades but the “enemy” refused to be an opportunistic and rather guarded their enemies against harm therefore earning integrity and respect (even though it’s against American self interest to admit or grant their credit)
