Let's all remember one of the major reasons why nations like to begin wars, especially large nations who are in terrible debt, who can print money, and a fledgling economy and great dissent among the ranks; it's called war. Does the US want to get into major conflict? What happens next. The Treasury will start borrowing money, the likes of which we have never been seen before. The Executive branch will get emergency powers. The Fed will start probably having to coalesce . etc., etc., etc....
