  2. I agree with so many of this man's ideas. However, when it comes to the big picture, and you take INTO consideration what is going on in Ukraine, who the beneficiaries are, and the REASONS why this "war" had begun, I find Douglas' opinion a bit lacking in substance.. Just because the "cost" is low, does that mean that the US should risk a world war ?

  6. Not too dissimilar from the situation in Australia. They say it's a much safer place since they did the gun buy back and made it very, very difficult / illegal for most citizens to own guns/ especially concealed weapons. .. However, from what ive been told from citizens there is that there are more guns/ concealed weapons, just now more so in the hands of people conspiring / committing crimes...

  10. @antalpoti  IMO, he figured that the US and Europe are more likely to suffer the consequences of a combination of inflation and social unrest. He could take his time and mitigate costs and measure effort based upon Ukraine and their efforts. Meanwhile, Russia's economy is doing a fair amount better than the US, especially since they're selling to both India and China.

  16.  @esmeraldadubinin218  I believe you're right UP to a point. I don't know if the US is actually looking for war.. I think that "they", the US Gov and Congress ( neo cons particularly ), thought that the sanctions and the "allies" would have taken down and brought Russia to its knees. Which would leave Ukraine and it's trillions of dollars of resources underground left for the US to pillage and divvy up with Western Europe. Russia having enough demand for their oil and seemingly enough of a relationship with India and China to supersede the demands of the US which made the mistake of diminishing our own oil production capacity.. I believe if the current administration werent so mal adjusted, greedy and in such a hurry to jeopardize and divide an entire planet, this whole conflict would not have begun at all.
