@EconLessons that is a very fair question. I personally buy gold and silver every month. I only buy US short-term debt because I understand our situation here better than I understand the situation in Russia. Besides, rates going up as opposed to the propaganda they put forth originally led me to try to get the best roi. That's not to say that I might not invest in Russian energy companies. You must admit, from a monetary economist's standpoint, and a 50,000 foot view, our situation here is bordering on dire. By the way, our interest rates are continuing to head higher. What does that tell you about the status of our economy ??
1
@jacquesoosthuizen765 Russia actually serves a very important purpose for the West and around the world
1
@СергейКомисаров-т4ц we both know that's is very, very far from the truth.
1
@Duck1985 And evaluated Russia's economics .. ?
1
@maxinabo one of which is Crimea, which they annexed without so much as a sneeze from ANY Western or any other country. This begs the question, why are so many other countries in the world so involved in Ukraine as of late? What do they know that they're not telling the general populus.
1
@k66a865 Not as good as the US! Look at US football, baseball and weightlifting.
1
If you are keeping track of the global conflict you speak of, the "President" of Ukraine has already made a public statement acknowledging that an agreement / peace treaty to stop this made up conflict you speak of.
1
Putin is one of the wealthiest men in the world ..
1
@EconLessons "to" or "who" ?
1
@Brockliy You're right. However, seemingly pretty evident as to why his statements are unsupported, particularly when you listen to the video.
1
PRICES do not go up equally for the poor and for the wealthy. The very rich and wealthy have HARD assets which appreciate along with rising prices.
1
Ukraine is NOT getting into NATO , at least not for a pretty long time ...
1
You see how participating in the US means, methods, theory and overall BS has worked for Germany in the past 3½ years.
1
By the way, well said!
1
Who is selling MORE oil now than ever before?
1
None of this guy's assertions are backed by any facts or logical reasoning ..
1
You are spewing pure propaganda, and not truth or fact ...
1
I believe many of the mid- Western cities in the US get pretty damn cold in the Winter as well. Especially near the Great Lakes.
1
Answer the question, when was the last time YOU were actually in Russia ???
1
You'll be kicking yourself for not holding those Rubles in a year..
1
I cannot tell you how much i love watching your videos. The emotion that you put into these videos is amazing. The lack of research and substantiation in all of your assertions especially when you refer to Russia and former President Trump. You are like geometry without the proofs. You make these claims regarding an area which you have NOT been to in well over a dozen years ..
1
IF you stated that the people in Russia who NOW do not have indoor plumbing, had indoor plumbing prior to the sanctions, then after the sanctions, had their bathrooms foreclosed upon, I might believe you. However, nothing that you had stated, offers any significant evidence as to their economy.
1
@EconLessons That maybe so... however shall i just take your word on that, or shall i use your ability to run Pex tubing throughout your home as evidence ??
1
@EconLessons If I am not mistaken, Russia does NOT have the world's reserve currency ( Not that the US will for too much longer either if we continue on the path we're on ) .. I wonder if you could pontificate how many plumbers that Russia has especially based upon how you feel about Russia.
1
@lukeamato423 Why? In actuality, all of the companies that the small and medium sized companies took over when American companies like McD's and Coke, etc left Russia, took over and are running companies, bottling, and manufacturing, processing etc. etc. etc. That should actually count towards Russia's GDP. Not in this guy's back of the "envelope" calculations..
1
@planetmikusha5898 I'd imagine they're already in the process of being repaired and are probably utilizing newer tech than the US, which hasn't allowed a new refinery for > twenty years ..
1
@planetmikusha5898 hasn't toppled Russia yet, seemingly, what we've done is put our enemies closer in touch and aligned against us even more. We've also made Taiwan, all the more pressing. We have a reputation as well as a reserve currency at stake.
1
@EconLessons of course. Why didn't you mention them, is the question..
1
I would imagine that you are wasting your talents as an economist. I think you should be an examiner/ investigator of pipes. Since you can tell just from looking at pipes whether pipes have Pb or not ...
1
WHEN is the last time you have been to Kaliningrad ?
1
There are better ways to cut in audio edits ... It sounded terrible ...
1
NO WARS between January between 2016 and January 2021. We are NOW closer to a war of global proportions than ever before ...
1
@EconLessons Kennedys have cheated , Clintons have cheated as well as a dozens of other politicians! It's pervasive in out culture. We just need someone to take care of our economy first and foremost!
1
@EconLessons you are not lucid in your videos
1
@APW-ry2ok Trump had $ billions. Somehow he has done a few things correctly..
1
@CR67 absolutely.. the book clarifies so much in terms of the negotiation process
1
@williammasselink what is the benefit of publicly condemning Putin. Appease him and get your way. I've done it all my life.
1
@MS-ii1sv the vegetable won't make it to Election day..
1
@EconLessons He is more of a free market Capitalist than the clown who is funneling $$$ from China through his drug addled Sin into his own accounts!
1
@smuook1969 let's see if there is a peaceful transfer of power this coming January.
1
As of recent, they have not increased the money supply and the Fed Res has been selling off the assets on their balance sheet, which is precisely why interest rates rise ever so little continuously. ( lets not forget that our yield curve continues to be inverted ) ... be prepared to pay the piper when it un-inverts. Anywhere between 6 and 18 months later, is when the wealthy and the savers take their savings, assets and buy what's left on the cheap..
1
Strange how you mix references such as Star Wars and a personal opinion asserting that Russia can only "last" until 2026..
1
I am wondering what your thoughts are on a country that uses a currency which has been the reserve for the world and is rapidly losing its appeal due to the countries poor governance as well it's debt/ GDP ratio. By the way, that is > 130%.Just in case, the amount of debt is @ $35T and the debt payments are about $1T every 100 days. Now you're speaking of the Ruble ?.. Are you sure you are a monetary economist ...
1
Are you going on record stating that Ukraine will not lose ????
1
With US dollars
1
Considering the onset of the coming crisis that the US faces, China could be in very big trouble...
1
@EconLessons Firstly, we have an burgeoning credit crisis, unemployment crisis, and if the Fed Res would stop cooking the numbers, an inflation crisis...NOT TO MENTION the INCREDIBLE and INSURMOUNTABLE DEBT CRISIS...
1
@EconLessons we don't have an employment problem here? Credit is being over extended. Banks still needent keep reserves. People's home and auto insurance rates are skyrocketing. Consumer spending is slowing. We have a terrible issue with commercial real estate. China imports are slowing . Their economy is slowing shown by their real estate issues. Europe is already in a recession. They're not buying as much from China. What do you think the central bankers are going to be left to do? They only have one tool in their arsenal..
1
In the US, in particular, getting land and farming is no easy project on a larger scale than just growing a few potatoes like yourself...
1
There are NO American companies allowed to do business in Russia, currently
