@xavierthepainter3658 It wasn't true then and it's NOT true now ...

Well, say for example the price of oil goes to $100, as a result of the Fed Res, does that extend your forecast as to how long Russia will "exist" ?? ( by the way, all of your anecdotes and assertions are completely irrational and unsubstantiated...)

What is ironic is how you speak of clever people that "we are". However you don't exhibit any facts or exude any such qualities indicating one degree of cleverness...

Exactly. Saudi Arabia should have been empty by now... I don't think we have any real idea of what our real reserves are Besides, technology continues to get better! What these libs confuse is emotion and facts...

@user-yq2wk6yg8s wow, natural market forces at work. Little to no government intervention. How much did Solyndra cost US tax payers? Even today, solar is < 10 percent efficient..

The faith and value of the US dollar is diminishing.. What the US did to Russia has put a bad taste in the mouths of other countries including Saudi Arabia and India ...

I would have more faith if he said, they will win because God wants them to...

by the way, Reuters came out with a story in January of 2023 showing trade between Russian and China hitting record levels. I beleive their source was the GACC, in case you wanted some sort of receipt...

And fiscally related...

We said in the 70'a that the amount of oil that Saudi Arabia and the world had was going to diminish to levels where it would be impossible to recover oil efficiently and effectively. However, technology continues to increase and we keep finding more. We use petroleum for everything. I would do more research because you're very blatantly confusing what you want to happen with what is going to happen, at least, in an agreeable and comfortable period of time. Mind you, as an economist, the US is dropping more debt at the rate of @ $1T every 100 days. Where are we going to get this money ?? I ask you this very seriously. Most people are running out of money. There ARE not enough electrical stations to refuel the EV's we have now. Most cities DO not have the electrical capacity which by the way, comes predominately from turbines which are fueled by petroleum. You make many grandiose assumptions and assertions. However, I see and hear very few facts and even less evidence...

Strange how you mix references such as Star Wars and a personal opinion asserting that Russia can only "last" until 2026..
1
Are you going on record stating that Ukraine will not lose ????

@beny9360 we don't say much about the planes, commercial, military and private spewing carbon all day, everyday. Nor do we seem to mind when SpaceX dumps thousands of tons of carbon into the atmosphere. ..But my F150 is on every Thunberg wanted list.

Fusion is still, according to most physicists, twenty years away..

Mark, read and or listen to a real economist. Look up Peter St. Onge.
1
@EconLessons you addressed his point, referred to the Mises Institute or actually addressed Professor St. Onge and refuted his data / theory/ hypothesis?

@EconLessons Care to impart which one ?

@toby9999 it really isn't pointlesss for Russia.. Would Chinese weapons or military base be acceptable to us if it was placed in Cuba ?
1
@zulubeatz1 I would love to believe that, however, that doesn't seem to be reality ...

It makes perfect sense to those who want it to make sense. Not so much for the rest of us...
