  2. The long and the short of it is Zelenskyy could have negotiated diplomatically right from the very beginning with Putin / Russia. Now Russia will come out with some of the territory of Ukraine, tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of men of Ukraine have been killed and the population has been changed for a generation or more, Zelenskyy has been enriched by hundreds of million of $$$ and US defense contractors have been paid handsomely by the US Gov with money the US really doesn't even have... And who is to blame, you may ask, well ask the, "big guy", of course .. Oh and Russian currency will increase again eventually and American companies will eventually return to Russia in time ..
