Iran could really frighten the us by deciding to develope a fast breeder reactor. This would produce large amount of plutonium. Iran could easily claim that the reactor is required to produce domestic power. That is what the UK did.

@ilovecops5499 don't be ridiculous, the US can't even deal with North Korea because they now have nuclear weapons. The US is not going to use nuclear weapons in case Russia comes to Iran's aid. Their is no such thing as a limited nuclear war.
