There is a natural split, those who have money and are refusing to share it, and those who do not have money and want those that do to share theirs. One of the reasons why the rich do not want to share is because they know it will never be paid back. I suspect the EU will come up with a solution. The rich will exchange money for political power, though self preservation may play a part. It is not in the interest of the rich member states to be joined to the poor and the sick. They must either help or break up the "union". It's worth note that Covid-19 has just brought to a crisis a financial problem that would have inevitably surfaced at a later date.
