@skyfather894 a nuclear exchange is not the first option, it will result from an escalation of conflict. The EU army will have ambitions that far exceed its capabilities and competence. A nuclear war will be the result of an unintended confrontation between the EU and one of the other big power blocks, likely to be Russia or China. In the past couple of years there has been ample opportunity for this to happen, the EU was only saved by its lack of an army. Imagine what would have happened had the EU sent forces to confront Russia in the Ukraine. Supposed it had elected to oppose the Russian occupation of the Crimea with military force. It is easy to see how this would result in a tactical nuclear exchange.

@skyfather894 have you considered the possibility that if the EU arguably has few enemies is because it does not have an army. Had you read further you would understand how an EU army will lead to nuclear conflict. It is EU pride and arrogance that will be it's down fall, that and over confidence in its own capabilities.
