  1. It is likely that much of the South of Europe will suffer from a heat wave this summer. Global warming is set to devastate EU agriculture over then next few years, with severe weather events causing damage on a record scale. It is going to take heroic measures and new technology to allow farming to survive in southern regions. France, Spain and Italy are going to suffer as both agriculture and tourism will be affected.
